This application is used to update the motor controller's firmware of a Skywatcher GO-TO mount, with a SynScan hand control programmed with the SynScan Relay firmware, a SynScan USB dongle, or a SynScan hand controller working in PC-Direct mode.

The latest GOTO mounts and the Star Adventurer series tracking mounts including Star Adventurer Mini, Star Adventurer, Star Adventurer 2i, etc. have a built-in USB port that you can use the Motor Controller Firmware Loader to update the firmware via a USB connection.

#### [Windows program: Tools for upgrading on-board Wi-Fi module's firmware](https://inter-static.skywatcher.com/downloads/wifiupgradetool.zip)
For mounts manufactured before December 2025, a small proportion may experience unreliable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity. This issue can be resolved by upgrading the firmware of the Wi-Fi module inside the mount. Affected products include the EQ-AL55 mount and products using MC029 and MC030 motor controllers.
